Developing Readers - Grade 5 (WDR-5)
Developing Readers provides detailed lesson plans to support instruction in order to introduce, model and practice each strategy using your own student texts. Developing Readers provides everything you need to teach reading comprehension and accelerate student achievement for all readers while using your own student materials. There are no extra materials required to teach comprehension strategies.
Developing Readers includes an Instructional Guide for the Teacher and a CD. The CD includes quick link activities, strategy definitions, think-aloud texts, graphic organizers, quick check assessments, and additional practice lesson plans for students who need more practice.
Developing Readers is vertically aligned with the Common Core Standards and the current TEKS in the State of Texas.
